The Finance and General Purposes committee meets around four times a year. Its main remit is to propose a budget to the full council each year, and to monitor spending. It is also responsible for reviewing policies such as Standing Orders, and for overseeing the council’s IT and data protection functions.
The committee is made up of around ten councillors, plus the Chair and Vice Chair of the council.
